Each series of lessons works from Genesis to Revelation, providing children with a complete view of what God’s Word has to teach us about each of these specific areas. Far too often curriculum is written so it just hops, skips and jumps through Scripture - never providing children with an intentional, focused and complete understanding of what God’s Word teaches. kidz Connection focuses each quarter in the following manner:

• Quarter One - I need (whatever the year’s focus is, for example, Grace)
• Quarter Two - I am challenged to choose (whatever the year’s focus is, for example, Talking with God). This quarter looks at people in the Old and New Testament who did or did not choose the quarter’s topic
• Quarter Three - (whatever the year’s focus is, for example, Obedience) changes me!
• Quarter Four - first month - My Family Learns Together - (entire family reviews previous three quarters together) second and third months - The Gospels show Jesus’ Great Love for Me!

2. Unified Scope and Sequence - all children, preschool through elementary age learn the same lesson the same week allowing families to more easily continue the learning at home throughout the week!

3. Large Group Time allows children to have a part in teaching the lesson! We remember 5%-20% of what we see and hear while we remember 90%-95% of what we teach others - one of the main reasons so many teachers like curriculum where they are the "teachers". If our vision and purpose is for our children to truly remember, understand and live God’s Word, then we need to involve the children in the Bible lesson so they have a part in teaching the lesson through dramas and other creative activities!

4. Small Group Time allows children to connect what they learned from God’s Word to their everyday lives in a context of relationships. Children pray for the others in their small group, talk about the Bible and select a specific activity they will complete in the coming week so they are able to take what they learned out of the church and live it in their everyday lives!

5. Quarterly Family Time Flyers - these flyers provide information and ideas for families to use at home during the week to continue the learning and living of God’s Word as a family!

6. Optional Second Service Lessons - each week includes an optional second service lesson for use in Children’s Church, mid-week or as a resource to combine with the first lesson for longer church services! The second service lessons do not repeat the first service lesson. But rather they take children through passages in Psalms or Proverbs to help them learn to pray Scripture back to God and learn how to live the lesson they learned in the first service.

7. Each quarter's curriculum is available as an electronic document which will be emailed to the purchaser as a zip file. kidz Connection is sold by the quarter allowing churches to select the quarters best fitting with their children's ministry teaching goals. kidz Connection is priced at $50.00 per quarter for preschool/early elementary age children and $50.00 per quarter for elementary age children and is completely reproducible for purchasing church.
